What an amazing day! Dave and I were asked to speak on Daystar's behalf at their fundraising event, The Daystar Derby. It was difficult to find the words that expressed our immense feelings of gratitude but hopefully it came across. In addition, Nicolas and Samantha spoke to the 700 guests in attendance! We are so proud of them. I said in my speech, "I feel blessed that Mia has introduced us to a group of woman who have touched our lives in ways many cannot understand. They have left an everlasting impression with each of us." Here is a news clip from the event
Parents Describe Daystar as their Hidden Gem of Hope
For those of you who aren't aware of what Daystar is, visit their website at http://www.daystarhome.net/. There is a short video on the home page titled "Where Love Shines...Miracles Happen". Mia is a part of the video as well as Dave and I.
Of course, Mia's time is winding down there. I just can't believe the girls will be starting preschool in the Fall! The school district called me last week and they will be scheduling her evaluation soon. As far as we are concerned, Mia has reached beyond her limits!
